Winfield City Schools is proud to present awards and recognitions received throughout our school system. Our teachers, staff, and administration strive to provide quality educational experiences that promote excellence. |
- (2009) Forestry Team placed 3rd in the State. Team Members were Dillon Roberts, Caleb Dean, Jud Cummings, and Justin Spann. Land Judging Team placed 7th in the State. Team Members were Will Guin, Daniel Jenkins, Curtis Lane, Jared Miles, and Collins Davis. Tractor Driver placed 2nd in the State. Driver was Riley Dozier.
- Congratulations to Trey Webb and Michael Randolph for winning 3rd place in the Ford AAA Contest. (2009)
- Congratulations to Christie Pate, Heather Pennington and Kailey Abbott for beating their 7th grade scores and winning prizes (2008) Click for picture
- Congratulations to Melissa Brown and Ann Elizabeth Davis for being recognized for their outstanding performance in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Both of these girls scored in the top 3% of the 1.5 million students who took the PSAT.
- April 2008 Winfield Middle School students take first place in state Destination ImagiNation competition in Huntsville. First Place DI Lockness Squad team members: Erin Gardner, Garrett Harrison, and Laura Tramutolo
- May 2008 Winfield Elementary School fourth grader, Jordan Clark, earns Top 5 finish in U.S. Kids Golf European Championship held near Edinburgh, Scotland Click for pictures
- 2008 Winfield City High School graduating seniors were awarded 1.5 million dollars in college scholarships.
- 2008 U.S. News & World Report Bronze Award to Winfield City High School for being among America's Best High Schools.

- April 2008 WCHS Automotive Technology FORD AAA First Place in State Student Auto Skills: Devin Robison and Ryan Abbott
- Spring 2008 Winfield Middle School received Relay for Life 'Silver Team' Award for raising $5228 to fight cancer.
